Paralyzed Veterans Golf Open
In 2007, as part of its broad range of services dedicated to building better lives for its members, Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) inaugurated the Paralyzed Veterans Rehabilitation Program which has since helped hundreds of veterans with spinal cord injury into work through training, support and relationships established with many employers throughout the nation. Spearheading the fundraising activities for the Program is the annual Paralyzed Veterans Golf Open, and since it was first held in 2008, the event has raised over $800,000. The underwriting of tournament expenses by Agility Defense & Government Services means that 100% of monies raised go to the Program.
PVA commissioned Reef Light to redesign the event’s website to give it a new and enhanced look, and to improve its usability with a view to promoting event registrations. Consequent upgrading and simplification of the registration process for sponsors would facilitate their selection of a sponsorship level, the identification of their golfers and enable them to express their interest in having a “VIP” (paralyzed veteran or a member of the U.S. Congress) join their foursome.
