Strategy

All too often, companies throw big dollar signs at the next big thing, without having a strategy in place to guide their decisions.  Should your business get involved in mobile app development?  Should you be spending lots on social media?  Is it a good idea to build new landing pages?  Maybe.  But maybe not.

The old adage, “Think before you speak,” can be applied to a lot of situations.  It’s concise, it’s meaningful, and it implores us to plan ahead.  In a field like digital business, for example, it’s imperative that companies carefully plan out their next moves, or they could lose massive investments.

Before launching new online ventures or starting new campaigns, your company must have a digital business strategy in place.

It’s the roadmap to get from where you are today to where you want to be tomorrow.  Sometimes the path from point A to point B is unclear, and that’s where Reef Light Interactive’s DC digital strategy consulting comes in.  We sit down with you, your staff, and your stakeholders to learn everything we can about what you do and where your business is headed.  Our strategy agency will analyze your audience, business model, metrics and more before settling on a digital business strategy suited for you.

Digital business strategy is a part of every project we do. It’s not just a buzzword for Reef Light; it’s the compass for our work.

We've had the pleasure of working on Strategy with the following clients:

United Nations Environment Program (UNEP)

Established in 1988 as part of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and in conjunction with the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) mission is to provide the world’s governments with clear scientific assessments of the state of the global climate; the impacts of any human-induced change, both social and economic; and potential response strategies.

National Association of Postal Supervisors (NAPS)

It was in 1908 that 50 postal supervisors from 13 states got together in Louisville, KY to form an association to promote the welfare of supervisors, and the improvement of the United States Post Office Department. Now an established management association with statutory rights, NAPS represents over 32,000 active and retired supervisors, managers, and postmasters from its headquarters in Alexandria, VA and more than 320 branches across the nation.

Conquest Tactics

Conquest Tactics is a strategy trading card game based on the fantasy genre. The game takes place in a battlefield environment, with players selecting their troops, arming them with spells, skills, and equipment with which they wage war, attacking or defending as appropriate. Strategic troop upgrades, alternative play circumstances, and resources known as Tactical Points are available to contenders in their roles as commanders, deck builders, and card players in their quest for victory.

Professional Services Network

The nation’s leader in healthcare accreditation, Professional Services Network, Inc., had a website that was functional but lacked the contemporary feel necessary for them to be competitive in today’s tough business world. Working with PSN’s senior leadership, Reef Light Interactive strategized how a new website would be easier for the user to navigate, develop more business leads, and increase overall corporate exposure.

Paralyzed Veterans of America

Applying the unique expertise it has garnered through its work with thousands of members, PVA seeks to be the foremost advocate for the quality of their healthcare, to maximize legitimate benefits accruing from their military service, and to highlight civil rights and opportunities that may enhance their independence.

Crest Glide

Crest was looking to develop a unique and creative ad that illustrated how efficient their new Crest Glide is. Their idea -- no matter how big or small a food object is, Crest Glide will remove it. To make the ad stand apart from the traditional advertisements, Crest commissioned Reef Light Interactive for our 3D design expertise.

Element River

An emerging provider of development expertise in Rich Internet Applications (RIA), ElementRiver was launched in 2009.  The company focuses on the growing adoption by enterprises of Flex – a program which generates scanners that recognize lexical patterns contained in text - providing an open source platform for the program and associated consultancy services.

smart USA

smart USA had an idea for a magazine article in which they wanted to express that no matter how narrow the road is ahead a Smart car can navigate it and make it through.  Unfortunately, their plan to design the ad required a very large budget due to the required aerial photographs of parking lots, people, etc. Concerned with the budget, smart USA commissioned Reef Light Interactive to develop their ideas into a reality using our 3D modeling expertise.

Paralyzed Veterans Golf Open

In 2007, as part of its broad range of services dedicated to building better lives for its members, Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) inaugurated the Paralyzed Veterans Rehabilitation Program which has since helped hundreds of veterans with spinal cord injury into work through training, support and relationships established with many employers throughout the nation.
