Blackbear the Pirate

The author of Blackbear the Pirate commissioned Reef Light Interactive to build an online presence from scratch with the goal of promoting and selling his new children’s book.

Having partnered with a well-known illustrator, the author came to us with illustrations of objects and characters found throughout the book.  To pull out the level of detail needed for the web, we scanned each image and re-created all of them using vector-based graphics.  To add an extra bit of flair, we added subtle movements to the character and background objects using Flash animation.
