Our Story

Reef Light Interactive is a full service digital agency, providing expert design and marketing solutions for our clients. The web is our passion, and we treat our client work as if we were working on our own websites.

Everyone always asks – “so what's with the name?” The Reef Light refers to just that, lighthouses built atop reefs miles off-shore. Amid stormy waters and foggy conditions, they not only survive but thrive - against all obstacles, they continue to shine. Idealistic, probably. Corny, maybe. But we think it's the perfect metaphor for the service we can provide our clients - that though the fog of competition may be thick, it's possible to truly shine through.

The web isn't our only passion, though. To us, there's no better place to run our business than our home town, Washington DC. Beyond the glittering memorials and historic sites, there's a vibrant heartbeat in the neighborhoods of the city from which we derive our energy from. It's a mixture of lobbyists and artists, locals and politicians, and gives us the insight to be able to work with small businesses to international governments alike.

We know that our industry is very competitive and may be a bit over saturated yet business continues to grow at an impeccable rate.  Why?  We’re not certain but we do have a few ideas based on what we take very seriously.  Like thousands of other agencies, we have awards to hang our hat on.  Awards and recognitions don't separate agencies as much as one may think.  All of our clients and prospective clients know that we will deliver an incredible product, but it's more than that.  It's the relationship that is built with each client and/or prospective client.  It's not only asking them how they liked the latest design comp but also how their weekend was -- getting to know them on a personal level.  It's truly learning and understanding our clients so that we can deliver exceptional results and have an awesome time every step of the way.

Our Team

In our industry, we don't believe "bigger is better".   We are a small agency by choice yet are still able to offer large agency services and expertise.  We don't have the overhead the larger agencies do and each of our team members have been working together for 5, 10, 15 plus years.  We have a great time together and it rubs off on our work and through our client relationships.
